DJ Pepsi entered the music scene at a young age. Influenced by his older brother Oskido, he soon developed his own style. Pepsi started playing in Hillbrow clubs such as Arena and Razzmatazz in the early 90s. He grew as a deejay and very soon started playing nationally.

When Joburg's ground breaking radio station Y-fm started broadcasting, Pepsi co-hosted the Phat Joe Show on Fridays. He released his first album, Sexy Summer Grooves Vol 1, a House compilation in 1999. That was followed the next year by Vol 2.

Pepsi began playing Ibiza in 1998, one of the first SA deejays to do so.
