Asanda is a female soul artist that hails from the friendly city of Port Elizabeth . She started singing at an early age she pursued her music carrier at the age of 18 years where she joined one of South Africa's popular gospel group Joyous Celebration where she featured on tracks such as "Lapha engiholela" and "Isiphephelo".
She countinued to excel in what she loves and know how to do best, she shared stage with big international names such as Angelique Kidjo, Jamelia, Corrine Baley Rae and the list is endless and localy she has collaborated on a few house music tracks, she worked closely with artist such as
Thandiswa Mazwai, Gloria Bosman, Tsepo Tsola, Swazi Dlamini,
Oskido and Mandla Spikiri of Kalawa stable.
In 2009 she went on as to record her upcoming album titled Fragile soon to be released, which has been recieved well internationaly and is on the European music charts, with her heart warming and soulful track (Brand New Day). This track has been featured on The Contemporary Soul Songbook Vol 2 for the year 2010.
